A friend writes:
Ask yourself this basic question:
What is the difference between the Islamic State (Da’esh) sponsored execution of Gays in Orlando and Islamic States (Iran, Saudi, Yemen, Pakistan, Iraq, UAE, Nigeria, Qatar) sponsored execution of Gays?
Legislative vs arbitrary execution of gays reminds me of this quote from The Times of London in 1935 discussing the Nuremberg Laws which firmly enshrined the already endemic Jew hatred into a legislative framework in Germany.
“The best to be said of the new laws is that they may offer German Jewry the process of law in place of arbitrary bullying and local tyranny.”
I’m sure the Gays in Iran were comforted to have had a “process of law” from which to hang.
Though my friend goes on to say that even the Orlando execution was covered by legislation:
Actually the Orlando terrorists actions were legislative because they were done in the name of Da’esh, which claims extra-territorial jurisdiction over Muslims everywhere.
