From Memri. Hat tip Mr Spencer of Jihadwatch.
This comes to public attention just a few days after a Conservative politician Lee Anderson has been criticised and has lost the whip (backing of his party) for saying that London’s mayor is under the control of Islamists. And a second Conservative MP Paul Scully is criticised for saying that certain areas of London and Birmingham are ‘no-go zones’, although he is now trying to rehabilitate himself by criticising his colleague Mr Anderson.
Haitham al-Haddad was a big noise a few years ago but I heard that he was seriously ill with cancer. He seems to be well recovered now and back triumphant at how much Islam has grown in the last decade.
Haitham Al-Haddad: “This brother was telling me: ‘Sheikh, I don’t see now that our situation is better than before.’ I said: ‘No, our situation in the UK in particular and in the West in general, is far better than our situation ten years ago.’ I said to him: ‘Look at the number of Quran memorizers now. Look at the number of mosques. Look at the number of Islamic institutions. Look now, who [would have] imagined that we [would] have Islam Channel, Eman Channel, Iqra TV, all in the U.K.
This was not there 20 years ago, by the grace of Allah. Look at, mashallah… Our brothers and sisters, if you go outside you think that you are in a second Afghanistan, but you are in Londonistan. So it is really amazing, overwhelming. Don’t ever, my brothers and sisters, look at yourselves as a subjugated minority. We are the leaders of humanity. We should look at ourselves as we have something to offer.”
I can’t embed the video but it is easy enough to watch if you follow the link. The still above is of a talk in a hall which looks like a school hall of council Assembley rooms, available to hire for concerts, lectures, exhibitions and suchlike. The segregation of women from men by a curtain certainly isn’t the London of my home. Verily it is Londonistan indeed.
It makes talk of my city being controlled by Islamists, a little Afghanistan or Pakistan very accurate. Most of central London is a no-go area on a Saturday at the moment. I still insist on going where I want; but I no longer walk the streets of my childhood with pride and confidence that these streets are my own.

One Response
We see the threatening future
and warnings aplenty from lips unsutured. But yet we respond as though it’s still WW1
Rarely realizing where we’ve been already overrun.
Civil Rights used as a terrorist tool, while by guile, civil responsibilities, obligations misapplied, ply us to play the fool.
The Social Contract, in effect, retracted,
Poppy fields and yeomen once again need be ressurected, or, from within our ranks, reincarnated.
